First up, we have Sean VanMeter, a young, immensely talented pianist who will be playing a tribute set to New Orleans piano greats. After that, we welcome three outstanding comedians to keep you and your friends in stitches through the evening! Danette Flint, Jerry Farber, and Matt Chastain will be the comedic entertainment, and we are counting down the days until we open the doors for this evening. Join us on February 8th for our MARDI GRAS ATHENS special event – tickets $15 advance online and over the phone! Dannette is a 15 year veteran of the stage and originally from Commerce, Georgia. She IS a good ole southern lady with a sassy sense of humor! The last seven years she's worked with The Triple writers to write, produce, and perform in a series of comedy plays - The Lumpkin Series. She's acted in and directed countless comedy shows. In early 2011, she surprised her husband with her desire to become a stand-up comedian. Her adventure has been non-stop since. She performs mainly in the Atlanta, GA area and has ventured to Tennessee. more >>> Matt Chastain has been on stage since the age of ten as a singer, dancer, musician and actor. Unfortunately, he wasn't all that great at any of those so he's now settled comfortably in the role of Emcee. Hosting events all over Georgia, he brings a level of energy and excitement to the stage that would have had him on ADHD medication had he been fifteen years younger, but seems to work just fine in his current role. Chastain has worked in the field of advertising since graduating from the University of Georgia in 2001 and is the co-owner of a marketing agency called Prolifik. He lives in Athens with his wife and two year old daughter. Atlanta's best-known and acclaimed entertainer began his career as a piano player in the Jungle Club in the basement of the infamous Clairmont Hotel in 1975. Since then, he's become an infectiously hilarious, nonstop energizer who pokes fun at everything and everyone and hits home with his razor sharp style of hilarity and hot keyboard rhythms from jazz to classics to pop. This unique combination of skills and talents makes Jerry Farber the perfect tool for you to get your organization's motivational message across. Jerry Farber specializes in entertaining and message-sharing for dinner and comedy clubs, corporate events and charity functions across the country. His style is inspired by the jazz and comedy greats - Dave Brubeck, Errol Garner and Victor Borge.
