The University of Georgia's Leadership Resource Team will present the 17th Annual Georgia Collegiate Leadership Conference. This year's conference theme is "Activation Energy: The Chemistry of Leadership." The day-long event draws college and university students from across the state for presentations and activities designed to foster personal, academic and career success.The keynote address will be given by Al Duncan, an award-winning youth advocate, publisher and internationally recognized authority on interpersonal skills. He is the founder of Young Scribe, a free marketing and fundraising program that allows schools and youth organizations to raise money by publishing books written by their young people.Duncan is the author of four books including "My Success Journal for Young People."A case study competition will challenge teams of students to test their critical thinking skills, resourcefulness and teamwork by responding creatively to an assigned issue.Registration is $75 for the general public, $25 for UGA students and is due by Jan. 25.For more information or to register, call 706/542-8584 or see http://stuorgs.uga.edu/lrt/gclc.html.News release: http://news.uga.edu/releases/article/student-leadership-conference-uga-participants-across-state012213/
