Local independent film maker and wine sommelier Dan Jordan will be hosting two romantic Valentine's Day wine tastings on Thursday February 14th:   6:30PM tasting includes a ticket to either :OSCAR NOMINATED SHORTS or HYDE PARK ON HUDSON 8:30PM tasting includes a ticket to either ARGO or HYDE PARK ON HUDSON Your "price fixe" ticket ($25 indivudual; $45 for a couple) includes:a wine tasting hosted by sommelier Dan Jordan who will take you through a lively progression of 5 wines from a light sparkling white to a complex dry red Bordeaux!hors d'oeuvres!a ticket to the film of your choice following the tasting! This event will sell out - so plan to get your tickets in advance! Your Sommier:Dan received his advanced certificate from the Mastery of Wine program in Manhattan, NY in 2002. He went on to apprentice growing and tasting wines at the famous Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Dahlonega, GA. There he was instrumental in quality control and tasting development for each vintage of vitis vinifera (European grape varietals).  He has a reputation in Athens and New York as a fun and friendly wine buyer that loves to try new and old wines. In addition, you may have seen articles about his wine knowledge and film career in the AJC, Flagpole and Athens Food & Culture.
