Bulldogs to help put the wraps on Musburger broadcast career

It will be the final broadcast of Brent Musburger’s long and storied career: Musburger will be at the microphone for tonight’s Georgia Bulldog basketball game against the Kentucky Wildcats. It’s a game that tips at 9 o’clock at Rupp Arena in Lexington. It will be televised on ESPN.

Musburger, who has worked in the television for nearly 50 years as host and play-by-play commentator – including the last 27 years with ABC/ESPN.

“What a wonderful journey I have traveled with CBS and the Disney company,” Musburger said in a release. “A love of sports allows me to live a life of endless pleasure. And make no mistake, I will miss the arenas and stadiums dearly. Most of all, I will miss the folks I have met along the trail."
