Finland's Arttu Pihlainen ended his ice cross downhill career with his fifth straight Quebec City race on Saturday (March 16). He led throughout the final on the 594 metre (650 yard) twisting, steep Crashed Ice course built above parts of the old city. Behind the Finn, Canada's Scott Croxall held second place but behind both of them the championship was being fought out.
