Mike Foltynewicz’s dominating performance puts him in elite company

Mike Foltynewicz went a playoff-high seven innings for the Atlanta Braves, in Game 2 of the NLDS, leading the Braves to a crucial win.

In those seven innings, Foltynewicz dominated with a playoff-high seven strikeouts. All seven of Foltynewicz’s strikeouts came as a result of his slider, which ties his career-high of strikeouts with the slider.

Foltynewicz became the third Braves pitcher, since 1958, to go seven or more innings, while allowing zero walks and zero runs, in a postseason game. He joins Greg Maddux (1996 - World Series, Game 2) and Tom Glavine (1996 - NLCS, Game 7).
