COVID vaccinations today in Jackson Co, Thursday in Madison Co

Coronavirus vaccinations are available starting today in Jackson County, and the Health Department in Madison County is scheduled to begin dispensing COVID vaccines on Thursday, doing so by appointment only.

Lanier Technical College says it will resume normal classroom operations, effective today. Lanier Tech campuses had been teaching virtually because of coronavirus concerns.

The state’s largest school district reverts to distance learning today: Gwinnett County has pulled students out of schools and returned to virtual instruction as COVID case counts continue to climb in Gwinnett County.

Atlanta Public School teachers return to empty classrooms today, to finish this week with virtual instruction before Atlanta students are back in class next Monday. Some teachers are complaining, saying it’s too soon.
