Jackson Co jobs fair to focus on new battery maker

The state Labor Department schedules a jobs fair for later this month in Jackson County: the SK Battery firm plans to hire upwards of 2,000 workers for a facility near Jefferson. The South Korean-based company will have representatives on the Commerce campus of Lanier Technical College on the morning of Saturday February 29.

SK Battery will be looking to hire employees in the following fields: safety, quality, utility, production, process, equipment, and production.
