Loeffler campaigns in Oconee Co

Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler is due in Oconee County today: Republican Loeffler is scheduled to speak just after 3 o’clock this afternoon at the Hot Thomas Bar B Q restaurant on Greensboro Highway. Her campaign says she will be joined by state Attorney General Chris Carr.

Loeffler is running in a special election in November, opposed by Hall County Congressman Doug Collins and several Democrats. She was appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to replace former Senator Johnny Isakson, who, citing health reasons, resigned late last year.

Congressman Collins campaigned Tuesday in Greensboro.
