There is a new director for the Madison-Oglethorpe Animal Shelter in Danielsville: Andrew Kitchens takes over after last month’s resignation of Shaina Knight. Kitchens is a 2013 graduate of the University of Georgia.
There is also a notice from the shelter that it is temporarily halting the intake of cats.

Due to a cat-specific illness at our shelter, we have decided to close our cat intake and cat adoptions until further notice.
