SANDPOINT, Idaho — The bodies of four men were recovered after their boat capsized in a northern Idaho river earlier this week, authorities said Friday.
According to the sheriff’s office, the men were identified as Gregory J. Daiker, 59, of Laclede; Aaron J. Faulhaber, 49, of Laclede; Jason L. Maxson, 51, of Laclede; and John R. Shulte, 59, of Sandpoint.
The boat capsized at approximately 7 p.m. MDT on Tuesday, KREM-TV reported.
According to the sheriff’s office, Daiker’s body was found by the agency’s marine and dive team on Tuesday night. Faulhaber’s body was found Thursday at 9 p.m. MDT in about 80 feet of water near the site where the boat capsized.
The bodies of Maxon and Schulte were found Friday in about 60 feet of water, the sheriff’s office said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. The boat, which was pulled from the water on Wednesday, capsized in an area where the river is 94 feet deep, CNN reported.
