HOUSTON — This 5-year-old was not over the moon after finding her mother’s passport. In fact, she thought Mom was an alien from outer space.
“Shoulda never let her watch ‘MIB’ (”Men In Black),” Shaakira Brandon wrote on Twitter.
Brandon posted a video of her daughter, Nala-Joye, crying uncontrollably after the child found her mother’s passport, KTRK reported.

In the “Men In Black,” franchise, which began with the 1997 movie starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, aliens visit Earth by carrying paperwork similar to passports.
The video has since amassed more than 2.6 million views on Twitter.
In the video, Nala-Joye is sobbing while pointing at a photo of Earth in her mother’s passport, KTRK reported.
“What do you think that means?” Brandon asks her daughter.
“That you’re an alien,” the girl wails.
“You think that means I’m an alien?” Brandon asks.
Brandon explains that the passport was merely the places she has traveled to on Earth, but Nala-Joye is not convinced.
“You scared of Mommy now?” Brandon asks. “Come here.”
The child continues to cry and goes off camera.
The screenwriter for the first “Men In Black” film, Ed Solomon, saw the video and tried to comfort the child.
“My bad,” Solomon tweeted. “I’m sorry.”
My Bad. I apologize. :)
