According to a tweet by airport officials, the Transportation Security Administration halted screenings because of the blackout.

Update 7:08 p.m. EST Feb. 1: In a tweet, airport officials said that power “has been fully restored.”

Original report: Airport officials said the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was working to solve the issue, KTTV reported. In addition to darkened terminals, several traffic lights at the airport were also not working, according to the television station.

While flights have not been canceled, airport officials advised passengers to expect delays while agencies attempted to restore power.

“Most of our terminals are impacted by the loss of power and crews are assessing the issue,” airport officials tweeted. “Some departing flights may be impacted due to no power to jet bridges. Please allow extra time and check your flight status as we learn more.”
