Lincoln Fire & Rescue Assistant Chief Michael Smith told KLKN that the limb falling was “an act of nature” on a windy day.
Emergency personnel arriving at the scene discovered that a large branch had broken from a tree, falling onto the roof and the brick chimney of Clements’ home, News Channel Nebraska reported.
The branch and chimney then fell through the roof of the sunroom and struck Clements, killing him, according to the television station.
