MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Memphis, Tennessee, are investigating the death of a toddler boy as a homicide, authorities said.

According to WHBQ-TV, officers responded shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday to a home on Ridge Drive in Hickory Hill, where they found a young boy who had sustained “multiple internal injuries.” Crews pronounced him dead at the scene, the news outlet reported.
Authorities later ruled the child’s death a homicide, WHBQ reported.
Police have not announced any arrests in connection with the case, which remains under investigation, according to WHBQ. No further information was immediately available.
