SEC to release 2020 football schedule on Monday

The Southeastern Conference announced on Sunday that it would be revealing the week-by-week 2020 football schedule on Monday evening.

The full reveal will take place as part of a television show on the Conference’s flagship SEC Network at 7pm. However, Week 1 matchups will be revealed at 3pm on the same Network during the Paul Finebaum show.

The SEC announced last month that it would only be playing a 10-game conference schedule, without any non-conference additions beginning on Saturday, September 26th. To reach the 10-game schedule, each program in the conference was given two additional opponents not previously on their 2020 schedules. Georgia was given a trip to Arkansas and a home game against Mississippi State.

It was hinted during the reveal of the two additional opponents that the previous weekly schedule should be “thrown out the window,” according to host Dari Nowkhah. That being the case, there is not telling who Georgia will open with on September 26th and what each succeeding week will look like.
