Elder leads Braves to shutout win over A’s

Bryce Elder went six scoreless innings as the Braves beat the A’s 4-0 Monday night in Atlanta.

Elder allowed five hits and walked one while striking out five as the Braves won the opener of the three-game series.

Shortstop Mauricio Dubón added three hits while driving in three to lead Atlanta at the plate.
