With no trade for top-end starter, did Braves get better with deadline moves?

The NL East leading Braves failed to land a front-end starting pitcher before Monday’s 6pm deadline.

Several reports said the Braves wanted Rangers’ starter Jacob DeGrom, but he used his no-trade clause to stay with Texas.

The Braves held on to their top prospects while picking up only outfielder Lane Thomas and pitchers Tyler Mahle and Brent Suter.
