Two men from Banks County are now charged in the death of an Oglethorpe County man who was reported missing almost two years ago: Jimmy Anglin (pictured above) was last seen in November of 2017. 55 year-old Robert Jordan has been arrested on a murder charge, while his 52 year-old brother Steve is charged with concealing a death.

For several moths, the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office could not confirm foul play was involved. The case went cold until November 2018, when a lead was investigated and “substantial evidence” was located, the agency said on Facebook.
“The evidence required testing in order to confirm it was related to the missing person case of Jimmy Anglin,” sheriff’s officials said in a post announcing the arrests. It went off to the GBI, and the investigation was dormant again.
Last week, Oglethorpe County investigators received the test results “that tied the case together,” the sheriff’s office said, leading to the arrests of brothers Robert and Steve Jordan.
Robert David Jordan, 55, was arrested on a charge of felony murder in connection with Anglin’s death. He was taken into custody Thursday in Banks County with the assistance of deputies and state troopers there.
Steve Jordan, 52, was arrested earlier in the week on a charge of concealing a death.
No further information has been released on what evidence investigators uncovered, if Anglin’s body was found or how the Jordan brothers are believed to be connected to him.
The GBI has taken the lead on the case, according to the Oglethorpe agency.
