Fisherman’s body found, road rage suspect arrested

The body of a fisherman from Anderson County South Carolina has been found on the Elbert County side of Lake Russell: a friend who was with Paul Young when he fell into the Lake says he might have suffered from sort of medical distress. His body has been taken to the state crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy. 

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office was, at last report, still trying to track down a convicted sex offender: deputies in Carnesville are trying to find Jamieson Benton.

A man said to have been waving a BB gun is facing road rage charges in Hall County: Cody Myers (pictured above) is 32 years old, from Gainesville. He’s accused of shooting at a car on Highway 53 in Hall County. There were no injuries. Myers was booked into the Hall County jail.

Police in Gainesville are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a vehicle in the parking lot of Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Christopher Wethington was 28 years old. 

Nine Hall County jail inmates were treated for injuries when a jail transport van was involved in an accident in Gainesville: the three-vehicle accident happened on the Butler Parkway in Gainesville. Injuries were described as minor.
