Twitter is auctioning off hundreds of items from its headquarters in San Francisco, several media outlets are reporting.

CNN and SFGATE reported that the items include:

  • A large Twitter bird statue.
  • A more-than-6-foot-tall @ sculpture planter.
  • A projector.
  • iMac screens.
  • Standing desks.
  • Espresso machines.
  • An electric bike charging station.
  • Kegerator beer dispensers.
  • Kitchenware.
  • Furniture.

The auction comes after mass layoffs at Twitter since the purchase of Twitter by Musk, San Francisco Gate reported.

There have been reports that Musk converted offices into bedrooms inside the building as part of his Twitter 2.0 vision. Musk has demanded that the employees who have stayed with the social media company work 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

Musk bought Twitter in October for $44 billion, CBS News reported.

But the auction house that is selling the items said the sale is not part of Twitter’s cost-cutting, Fortune reported.

Nick Dove, president of Heritage Global Partners, told CNN, “We don’t determine which assets a company doesn’t need. Just like a real estate broker doesn’t determine which houses or buildings their client would need to sell.”

HGP called the auction a sale of “surplus corporate office assets.”

Bids for several items start between $25 and $50.
